Grandfamilies Support Group

The Grandfamilies Support Group of Starkville, MS is a member of the Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP), funded by the Brookdale Foundation Group, in partnership with the Emerson Family Resource Center.  The program is directed by Dr. Danielle Nadorff, and provides free information, resources, and training on a variety of issues relevant to grandparents raising grandchildren.

Support Group Meeting Location

Meetings are held the second Monday of each month from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at the Emerson Family Resource Center of Starkville, MS.

​The Emerson Family Resource Center is accessible via the free Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit (SMART) shuttle.  Take the "Boardtown South" shuttle to "Stop #42 Emerson Family School."
  • A free support for grandparents raising their grandchildren.
  • Topics include positive parenting, stress management, family communication, and more.
  • Walmart giftcard incentives are provided for group attendance.
